Are the virtual tours a video?

Virtual tours are not videos. The moving images are known as "360° panoramic images", "immersive imaging" or "virtual tours". They let you look around the featured area as if you were actually standing there.

You can look forward and backwards, pause and zoom in and out wherever you choose. Unlike some other companies, with View it Virtually you also get a full 180 degree vertical field of view too so you have a wider range of view than just a panoramic image.

What can a virtual tour display that a series of still photos can’t?

Virtual tours give you the sense of actually 'being there' unlike traditional photographs.

Are there any limitations to a virtual tour?

Special lenses are used to create a virtual tour followed by the use of some sophisticated editing software that is used to produce each tour. The photographic process results in a limited depth of field. This means that more distant objects look further away than would be the case with a normal photograph. If you are photographing a long narrow room for example, and want see the whole room, it might be better to take two panoramic images each covering a separate half of the room.

What’s an Interactive Floor Plan? How does it work?

The floor plan of the area you have chosen is saved as an image file or an outline floor plan can be created for you (additional fees apply). Hotspots are put into each of the areas on the floor plan and when clicked on, take you to that area.

The great thing about an interactive floor plan is that it puts everything together so you how the rooms or areas relate to where they are in relation to the other rooms or areas.

What do the virtual tours cost?

Virtual tours are not expensive. In fact as crazy as it seems, it is cheaper to have a virtual tour done than it is to have a professional photographer visit and photograph your location!

What do I need to do before the photo shoot begins?

You are about to show your property to the world!! It needs to be looking at its best. Remove clutter and make it look at its best. Think of it as you would visit a show home for example and how they look - clean and tidy. Make sure you have moved clutter to an area that is not going to be shot as part of the tour and ensure you are ready for the photographic shoot to begin at the pre- arranged time. Extended time spent at a location due to unprepared areas and shoots outside business hours (9:00 AM - 4:30PM) will attract extra charges.

We recommended that while the tour is being shot, the owner or agent is present at the location. Our pricing does not permit the re-shooting of images so your approval may be required regarding the composition of the photographic images as they are being taken.

How long does it before my tour is ready?

From completion of the photography to completion of the tour, we aim for a turnaround time of 48 to 72 hours. Our policy however, is to complete all tours within three business days of photography – subject to your supply of additional image content such as a floor plan in JPEG format for example, which must be supplied no later than 24 hours prior to the delivery deadline.
